Youth Firesetter Awareness

This course deals with identifying juvenile firesetters and successful intervention and prevention approaches to address the problem. Motivation and legal issues on juvenile firesetting will be discussed. There will be an emphasis on how to establish a community based program  as well as how to work within the framework of existing programs. The mechanics of how to report statistical information on juvenile firesetters to the Division of Fire Safety also will be provided.
